Come join us at the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum for an interactive weekend getaway. We are happy to extend an opportunity for you to be a part of our daily site operations and learn what is involved in maintaining an historic light station. The Guest Keeper Program can be designed to utilize your personal skills, time, and experience. This program is the first of its kind to be offered in the southeastern United States.
The program includes three days on-site at the St. Augustine Light Station with the first day's activities concentrating primarily on training. Training procedures will include a full tour of the facilities and individual meetings with our maritime archaeologists and other key museum staff. As for additional site training, you will have the opportunity to shadow museum interpretive staff stationed at the base and top of the tower - the primary locations for guest interaction.
If you would like additional information or if you have any question, please contact Kathleen Hill, Director of maritime Education, at (904) 829-0745 or by email at khill@staugustinelighthouse.com. |
