St Augustine: 450 years of history
In 2015, St. Augustine will commemorate its 450th
anniversary as the oldest continually occupied European settlement in the
continental United States. The story of St.
Augustine is a central part of the story of America, and the 450th anniversary
of the city’s founding is an opportunity to recognize the diversity of our past
and the path taken to become the nation we are today.
